The King Strikes Again: Ronny Alvarez Crushes Carlos Colon in Co-Main Event of Fists of Fury 7
The co-main event of Fists of Fury 7 was over almost as quickly as it began. Ronny “King” Alvarez, the rising Cuban powerhouse, extended his undefeated streak to 3-0 (all by knockout) with a dominant second-round finish over Carlos “El Pajarito” Colon at Hard Rock Live, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on July 25th.
A Cuban King with a Killer Right Hand
Fighting out of Ciego De Avila, Cuba, Ronny Alvarez entered the ring with two straight knockouts—and he made it clear from the opening bell that he wasn’t there to go the distance.
Colon, hailing from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, came in at 1-0 and showed early defensive awareness in Round 1, but Alvarez stayed composed, pressing the action whenever an opening appeared.
Round 2: The End Arrives
The second round started fast—and ended faster. Just 15 seconds into the round, Alvarez cracked Colon with a stiff shot to the forehead that forced Colon to reset. But Ronny wasn’t done.
Moments later, with just 36 seconds gone, Alvarez delivered a massive right hand that sent Colon crashing to the canvas. The referee stepped in without a count. It was lights out.
